Travel Events News Service has a unique database of public events
The system consists of an event database looking up to two years in advance and a venue database with over 3500 locations. The event inclusion criteria are those public events taking place within the UK which have an attendance likely to impact on the travelling public with a minimum 3000 attendance. For each event we have the location (Long/Lat) and where possible, we gather start and end times and historic attendance, along with closest railhead and motorway junction to aid journey planning. The search criteria allow users to look at events by individual venue, TOCs, rail route and railhead, or by motorway junctions.
The services are used internally for planning purposes through the secure web application or raw data is fed into internal applications or directly to websites.
